The 11th Malabar Magic was swum on Sunday 17th February 2019 in perfect conditions at Malabar Beach, NSW.

With a record number of entrants this year, swimmers participated in the Malabar Magic Ocean Swim to raise money and awareness for Rainbow Club Australia. Each year this event is rated as one of the most inclusive ocean swims not only in Australia, but also internationally.

Our Liftronic team of 13 fundraisers and 8 swimmers proudly raised $20,342.00. This is the highest amount we’ve raised to date since we started supporting Rainbow Club Australia over 6 years ago.

We couldn’t have reached that amount without the generous donations from our families, friends and colleagues.

On behalf of our Managing Director and LPL 1km Racing Team Captain, Milan Debelak, we thank each and every one of you who so kindly donated.

Liftronic took out the award for the top fundraising team, as well as the award for the fastest team of 4 for the 1km swim on the day.

Dear Milan,

Two new Rainbow Clubs opening in March – Villawood and Hurstville here we come!
We are delighted to advise that two new Rainbow Clubs are opening immediately, and this could not
be happening without the great support we received at the 2019 Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean
Swim.

Liftronic’s support was integral in making his happen and the 2 new clubs are already at capacity.
Children with a disability on our waiting lists in the catchment areas of Villawood and Hurstville will
be joining a local Rainbow Club this month and the children at our Revesby Club have been able to
relocate to much improved environment at the Max Parker Aquatic Centre in Revesby.

There was some great feedback from the over 1200 swimmers who participated in the Malabar
Magic on a beautiful Sydney day. We are particularly proud to hear about how the crowd enjoyed
the inclusiveness of the Malabar Magic. The beach matting provided by Randwick Council made it
more accessible for wheelchairs and the access for swimmers of all abilities created wonderful
memories to carry through to 2020.

We you continue to support this wonderful event for years to come.
